How to Join LATBrain
The Latin American Brain Initiative (LATBrain) is a collaborative platform that seeks to strengthen neuroscience research, promote regional integration, and foster innovation across Latin America. To achieve these goals, LATBrain is built upon the active participation of institutions, researchers, and partners from diverse sectors who share a commitment to advancing brain science in the region.
There are two main ways to become part of LATBrain:
1. Collective of Participating Agents
This collective brings together the diverse organizations that take part in and support the Latin American Brain Initiative, including:
- Research centers, programs, and institutes
- Universities
- Research laboratories
- Other relevant institutions
In addition, organizations with recognized scientific activity in the field of Brain Sciences, as well as civil associations that have endorsed the Montevideo Declaration , are invited to join.
Each participating country designates at least two representatives from the Collective to attend LATBrain’s Annual Meeting.
2. Collective of Companies and Funding Agencies
This group includes companies, institutions, and funding agencies interested in collaborating with and providing financial support to LATBrain’s mission and activities. LATBrain recognizes the essential role that these partners play in promoting research, innovation, and knowledge exchange across the region.
All members of this Collective are invited to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Latin American Brain Initiative, where they can engage with the scientific community, explore collaborative opportunities, and contribute to advancing neuroscience in Latin America.
